The Brayford Trust

Located in the heart of the city where the River Witham meets the Fossdyke Canal, the Brayford Harbour offers a unique and interesting stop for visiting cruisers and narrowboats navigating the Lincolnshire waterways, as well as providing berths for those seeking a leisure mooring in a lively city environment.

Snacks, drinks, souvenirs, gifts, supplies, and local attractions like the Lincoln Cathedral and Castle or all in walking distance

Showers and toilets

Showers and toilets are provided for both long term and visiting boaters and are located next to the Harbour Office.

Friendly Dedicated Team

We have a small knowledgeable team on hand every day from 10:00 - 16:00 from November to February and 10:00 - 18:00 from March to October

Electric Hook up

We offer a free pre-paid electric card for visitor moorings for up to two weeks. For long-term stays, we offer pre-paid cards at 39.00p per kW/hr.

Winter Mooring

We offer winter moorings in the Brayford Pool between 1st October – 31st March, spaces are limited and do get booked quickly. Please contact us for a quote, prices are dependent on the size of the boat, mooring location, and the length of stay.

Located in the heart of the city where the River Witham meets the Fossdyke Canal, the Brayford Harbour offers a unique and interesting stop for visiting cruisers and narrowboats navigating the Lincolnshire waterways, as well as providing berths for those seeking a leisure mooring in a lively city environment.Moorings in the Pool are not intended either for residential purposes or as a boatyard facility for renovation or boat repairs.

There are over 130 long term moorings in the Pool with a further 15 designated exclusively for visiting boaters.  The moorings are all floating pontoon berths with fresh water and electricity available to each.  These berths are located on the south bank of the Pool with the cruiser moorings in the south-west corner and the narrowboats toward the eastern end
