Visitor Moorings

We love to welcome visitors to the Brayford Pool

Is visiting the oldest inland harbour in England on your bucket list?

If you’d like to book a visitor mooring, please telephone 01522 521455. We can accommodate day visitors and offer a discounted weekly rate.

Brayford Pool

The visitor moorings are all floating pontoon berths with fresh water and shore power. Berths are located on the south bank of the Pool with the cruiser moorings in the south-west corner and narrowboats toward the eastern end. Electricity is included in your mooring fee, up to a maximum of 2 weeks stay.

Moorings are allocated depending on the size of your boat, and it is recommended that you reserve a visitor mooring in advance or at least call ahead before arrival especially in the busy summer and bank holiday periods. Pre-booked visitor moorings are available from midday, and we ask that you vacate by 11am on your departure day, however you may extend your stay at half the day visitor rate if there is availability.

Showers and toilets are provided for visiting boaters and are located next to the Harbour Office. These are accessed via a numeric security code which will be given to you upon check-in. Visitor car parking may be available, it is chargeable and must be booked in advance.

The speed limit in Brayford Pool is 3mph

Please ensure when travelling through the Pool that you keep to the navigational channel towards the north bank other than when accessing the moorings themselves, as the water can be quite shallow outside these areas.

Brayford Pool

The north bank of the Brayford Pool has a wide array of restaurants, bars, cafes, and hotels as well as a multiscreen cinema. The Lincoln High Street itself is only some two- or three-minute walk away with all the amenities you would expect to find in a lively City centre.

Visitor moorings are subject to acceptance of our Standard terms and conditions, which can be found here.
